Highlight of BBNaija 2021 Week 9
The House has shrunk in size, but don’t let that fool you: it’s still as hot as it was when it was full. This week proved that no matter how many Housemates are in it, Shine Ya Eye House will always remain what it is renowned for. This week was jam-packed with everything from drama to fights, sensual moments to Tasks.
Wielding the Ultimate Veto Power
Emmanuel got to use the greatest power of all — the Ultimate Veto Power – this week! Emmanuel was crowned the Ultimate VPH after a closely contested game in which he tied with Cross before edging him out. Emmanuel got Immunity from Nominations as a result of his new power, securing his berth in the final week. He also named Liquorose as the new HoH and Cross as the Deputy. Both had Immunity and Final Week berths as well.
Ultimate prank & prankster
The third largest prank of the Season is a significant highlight of this week. Nini was given the challenge of disappearing from the house for 24 hours by finding her way to the White Room, which is a separate area of the house. It was a practical joke that had the Housemates concocting bizarre conspiracy theories and hunting for her in the most unexpected areas in the House.
The impact this prank had on Saga was what truly got the internet talking. We were all taken aback when he started crying and tried to force open the diary room in search of his ‘buddy’ who had gone missing; but were we really surprised? Nini has returned to the House, and it appears that Saga will not let her out of his sight again.
The Diary Room sessions
During the week, the geng did, of course, take the time to speak with Biggie about their time in the House thus far. They discussed whether they thought they could make it to the last week. Some seemed upbeat, while others seemed pessimistic, but one thing they all had in common was a feeling of appreciation. They were ecstatic and grateful that they had made it this far on the show. Biggie gave them the option to send a message to their loved ones as a final touch, and it was touching to see them reach out to people they hadn’t seen in months.
More winnings
The Tasks came in as usual, and there were a lot of big winners in the House. Angel and Emmanuel won N750,000 in the Munch It Task, Cross and Queen won N500,000, and Liquorose won N250,000. The Hawaii Task ended with 1 Million Naira being won by Emmanuel, Queen, and Saga, 750 000 Naira being won by Liquorose, Whitemoney, and Nini, and 500 000 Naira going to Angel, Cross, and Pere. In addition to becoming Lipton Ice Tea brand ambassadors, Saga, Angel, and Whitemoney took home N2.5 million, N1.5 million, and N1 million Naira respectively in the “Chop Beta Life” task.
Congratulations to all the Housemates on their winning streak.

This week, Biggie was really generous with the geng. Biggie hosted the Housemates to a spectacular outdoor feast after what the Housemates considered a rigorous week. They sat around the table as if they were one huge family, gnawing on the enticing components of their buffet-style present. The buffet included plantains, beans, maize, pork, rice, juice, pepper soup, ice cream, spaghetti, and sauce, among other specialties.
Friday Night Game
After racing against time in a “Journey to Financial Freedom”, Queen emerged as the winner of the Friday Night Task and smiles to the bank with One Million Naira. This Task was courtesy of PiggyVest.
Jacuzzi and Party
A exciting jacuzzi party followed by a magnificent neon Saturday Night Party is the perfect way to close the week. The geng had a great time, and don’t think for a second that a fight between Angel and Liqourose/Pere was going to ruin it. Oh well, they must know how to fight as well as party harder.
It’s safe to say that the Shine Ya Eye Housemates had a great time this week, regardless of the outcome of tonight’s Live Eviction Show. They made memories and money to last them a long time.
