There’s no shortage of drama in the house this season, but last night’s emotional conversation between Mide and Kayikunmi has officially turned up the heat and exposed a love triangle that’s been simmering beneath the surface.

It all began when Mide calmly confronted Kayikunmi, after a whirlwind 48 hours that left Isabella in tears during dinner. And let’s just say, Mide was not here for the confusion.

“I don’t think you should’ve said you liked someone else,” Mide said, referring to Kayikunmi’s earlier confession. “I’m not trying to police what you say, but it’s been just 48 hours.” But Kayikunmi, trying to defend himself, responded “Baby girl, we’ve had that conversation not once, not twice. She asked me if I was sure”

“Sure about what?”?” Mide cut in. “If I wanted to be with her,” he admitted. That’s when things got real. Mide, visibly trying to stay composed, told him “I’m just surprised there’s even a reaction from her. But then again, it’s not about her. It’s about you. What are you doing that’s making her react this way?” She didn’t accuse, she analyzed and hard. “If a guy I like tells me he likes someone else, I wouldn’t cry. But if I did it means he sold me a dream. Something made me believe it was real.”

Kayonkumi denied making any promises “I haven’t sold anything.” But the backstory revealed otherwise. On day one, he and Isabella had a long talk, shared a bed, and even a kiss.“She said I was the only one she was feeling. Not like I wasn’t feeling her too, but in my head, I was like if anything happens, it’ll be in here.”

Mide, ever the realist, nodded “That kiss alone would’ve made her feel exposed. Vulnerable. Like she put herself out there and ended up looking st#pid. I’m not trying to be in the middle of all that.” She then dropped the bombshell “I think we should dead it.” Kayikunmi, shocked “Dead what? With you?”

“No… with her,” she clarified.But moments later, she turned it around “Actually, I think we can dead it… me and you. It’s just a lot. I want to take a step back. I don’t want to feel like this.”Kayikunmi tried to protest“It’s me making the decision.” But Mide stood her ground “No. I’m also involved. It affects me too.” She then asked the million-naira question “If we hadn’t had that conversation yesterday, would you have even told her?”
Kayikunmi swore he would have“From the jump, I liked you. That’s why I’m telling you everything now.” Mide appreciated the honesty but it wasn’t enough to calm her fears “I’ll be the home breaker. Everyone will look at me sideways. If I see her walk in here right now, my heart might just cut.”

So there it is: Mide is the mystery girl that Kayikunmi is now drawn to, the same girl at the center of Isabella’s emotional breakdown during dinner.

And just like that, the love triangle is out in the open.
