BBMzansi 2022 Wager Task for Week 1 Result
As you are surely aware, the Housemates have already been assigned their first Wager Task, in which they must wager a part of their weekly income on their ability to complete the Task successfully. The Housemates opted to gamble 100 percent on the outcome, maybe because of overconfidence or just because they think highly of themselves. While this implies that the benefits might be enormous, the dread of failure is apparent throughout the House.
As a reminder, the Housemates will be asked to present a short story, poetry, or drama (or a mix of all three) about who they are and where they come from on Thursday. There will be no raw materials given, and each Housemate must participate. To put it another way, a single weak link may send them all crashing down.
Last night, the Housemates argued whether they should work on the Wager Task. Tulz, in his new status as Head of House, opted to let the choice be settled by public vote. Democracy is great, but might this be a symptom of uncertainty on his side, or an unwillingness to accept responsibility for his actions? Whatever the cause for the democratic vote, the result was that the Task’s work would be postponed until today.
This did not sit well with Dinkybliss; they had already been chastised by Biggie for their failure at the “no names” twist, and the threat of failure was all-consuming, with all of their revenue relying on their ability to carry off this task. Aside from Dinkybliss, a few other female Housemates appear to be taking this Task more seriously than the others: Acacia and Yoli took the lead in conceptualizing their performances in the afternoon, and they were joined in the evening by Thato in attempting to formulate a creative direction for their Task.
While they still have some time, the reality is that many of the Housemates have no experience with this type of event, and the fact that they have to deliver 18 stories may be a larger obstacle than they realize. The next two days will be crucial.
