Big Brother is tightening the reins on the housemates, following repeated rule violations. After Sooj was crowned Head of House and the weekly theme was announced, the housemates confidently wagered 100% yet again. However, Big Brother had other plans. Gathering them in the lounge, Biggie’s booming voice delivered an unexpected blow—though it shouldn’t have been surprising, given the many warnings he had issued.
Reprimanding the housemates for consistently breaking the rules, Big Brother’s tone grew stern. The tension in the room was palpable as the housemates braced themselves for the consequences. “You have planted the seeds of disobedience in your hearts, and today, you will reap what you have sown,“ Biggie declared ominously.
This reckoning had been brewing since the dissolution of pairs, when Big Brother explicitly stated that conspiracy would no longer be tolerated. Revisiting Article 16 of the rulebook, Biggie reminded the housemates that strikes would follow any infractions, particularly:
- Discussing nominations.
- Conspiring when it is not allowed.
Though the housemates were well aware of these rules, Big Brother reminded them that “ignorance of the law excuses no one.” After a thorough review, four housemates were found guilty of conspiracy and nomination discussions:
- Handi
- Kassia
- Shaun
Each of these housemates was issued a strike, with further punishments pending. Two more strikes and they will be disqualified from the Big Brother Naija show.
