After Adekunle won the HoH title and handed out the wager task, the housemates were divided between those eager to start planning and those who preferred to rest. Unfortunately, among those resting was the new HoH, Adekunle, and Mercy didn’t hesitate to express her honest opinion about his lack of initiative in starting his reign.

Clad in a classy pink tracksuit, Mercy entered the bedroom and shared her frustration with the lounging housemates, questioning why they were not in the garden preparing for the wager. She voiced her disappointment at their lack of seriousness, particularly because it was Adekunle’s first wager task. Adekunle remained calm but didn’t appreciate her confrontational approach, stating that he would take over when he disciplines her for addressing the housemates and him in that manner.

In an attempt to promote peace, Cross and Ilebaye accompanied Mercy to the garden, encouraging the housemates to join for at least 30 minutes and then return. However, the restful group didn’t comply, with Tolanibanj suggesting that they could be dedicated tomorrow instead. Adekunle stuck to the original plan as the dedicated housemates, including Alex, Whitemoney, Pere, Doyin, CeeC, and Princess, remained in the garden to plan.

Later, Adekunle woke Uriel to address all the housemates who had gone looking for Kiddwaya. The housemates had received merchandise from Moniepoint that Adekunle wanted to distribute, but the main concern was the issue surrounding the wager. At the mention of the word “wager,” Mercy Eke reacted by abruptly leaving and going to the bedroom, seemingly uninterested in the discussion.

Adekunle was displeased with her behavior, feeling disrespected by her departure during a meeting he was chairing. He emphasized that the HoH responsibilities can change, implying that he could also do the same when she becomes the HoH.

Alex suggested a core idea that all the housemates would brainstorm on. After the meeting, Mercy approached Adekunle, and they had a private conversation that ended in an embrace, indicating a potential resolution.
