Sultana, Kola, Faith and Sabrina debates over their fellow Housemate Dede.

In the Big Brother house, everyone wears something a smile, a strategy, or sometimes, a full-blown persona. And last night, it became clear that some housemates are no longer buying what one of the girls is selling.

The conversation kicked off with Sultana, who seemed unimpressed by all the mystique surrounding a fellow female housemate called Dede. Her voice calm but firm You see Dede, Whatever is fascinating about her is exactly what you want to see. That’s it.”

Faith echoed the sentiment with clinical precision and said “Theres no depth, it’s all surface level.” The mood shifted. What started off as subtle shade became something much more honest and maybe a little uncomfortable.

Otega, clearly taken aback, whispered“Ahh, this girl too wicked” But Sultana wasn’t being mean she was being deliberate. She explained she wasn’t here for the games, or the masks: “I’m also a woman. I’ve got more important things to do than pretend. I show up as I am, no masquerade, no cover-up. Some people use heavy perfume to distract. That’s how all this feels to me distraction!”

Then came Kola, attempting to defend her To be honest, she went deep with me today. Told me things she’s never told anyone.”

But that didn’t quite sway Faith “Having deep stories doesn’t mean you have substance.”

Sabrina offered a different perspective one that felt more tactical than emotional “She’s studying everyone. She wants to see who’ll be relevant later, and that’s when she’ll align. It’s not depth, it’s calculation.”

Faith, ever the silent observer, added “I don’t admire people. I watch them. And when you watch closely, you start to see what even they don’t know they’re showing.”

By this point, it wasn’t about throwing shade, it was about peeling back the layers. Sultana then summed it up in the rawest way “Strip away all the extras, and face her as she is, she’ll be lost.”

And Faith, quietly but chillingly, agreed “There’ll be nothing left”

In a house where everyone is trying to stand out, sometimes the loudest statement is made by just being real. But that raises a bigger question, Is authenticity still valued, or has strategy become the only way to survive?
We’re watching personalities form, alliances shift, and facades slowly crack. But when all is said and done, who’s truly being seen and who’s just performing?
