BBMzansi 2022 Ultimate Veto Power for Week 8

After altering the regular Head of House Games into a vote round for the next Head of House, Biggie decided to add some spice to the mix this week by launching the first round of the Ultimate Veto Power play. The game tonight was divided into two parts: the first needed Housemates to dig up marbles, and the second required them to shoot the marbles they had mined into a net in order to score points. The more marbles they can find, the higher their score.

Rules of the game

The first part of the challenge is a game of luck. There are 10 clear square boxes filled with sand. There are 60 marbles have been spread throughout these boxes. Some boxes have marbles while others have none. Housemates are to take the clear jar on the table next to them and, standing on the line, wait for the sound of the buzzer. At the sound of the buzzer, rush to any of the boxes with sand and begin your search for the marbles hidden inside these boxes. The aim is to retrieve as many marbles as you can. Once you have collected your marbles, make your way to the table on the stage, and immediately begin with the second part of this game, which relies on your skill to score your marbles into the net.

Put your marbles behind the marked line, and using any one of your fingers, you must flick each marble to score it into the net on the opposite end. The number of marbles that successfully get into the net, will determine your score for this challenge.

How it turned out

Although it was a game of chance at first, Housemates struggled to accept the fact that they had few marbles and had to make the best of what they had by flicking them across the table. The buzzer sounded for some, but there was no marble in their net. Unfortunately, this eliminates them from contention for the Ultimate Veto Power. With two marbles in their nets, Themba, Sis Tamara, and Tulz were the top scoring Housemates. Fortunately, Thato got one marble and made it, putting her in a better position than the majority of the Housemates who had catastrophic misses.

Biggie’s House has been knocked off its typical game by a day loaded with numerous unexpected narrative twists, but will their distinct games need to be adapted to these new alterations in a House full of various strategies? We have a lot of questions as well, but we’re also interested in seeing who the top contenders for the Ultimate Veto Power are.

Themba, Tulz, Sis Tamara, and Thato have made it through the first round of the UVP competition. We’re looking forward to seeing the four of them compete in the upcoming rounds. Whatever authority they have, we are looking forward to the new developments.
