Guardians and Mavericks win BBNaija 2023 Wager Task Presentation Week 1

In the first All Stars arena games, Team Guardians of the Coins and Team Mavericks emerged as the winners after engaging in an intense challenge called the “Great Debate.” The housemates were divided into five teams, each consisting of four members of the same gender. The task required them to engage in an informative debate against one another. Eventually, Team Guardians of the Coins, with members Adekunle, Cross, Neo Energy, Pere, and Soma, and Team Mavericks, with members Alex, Doyin, Ilebaye, Mercy Eke, Uriel, and Venita, were crowned as the victorious teams.

The rules were simple; each participating team had two topic options to choose from, and they had to come up with unique team names, select team captains, and create dedicated team emblems. Housemates who were not part of the debate served as judges and moderators for the relevant teams. The housemates impressed everyone with their well-thought-out arguments, and they added a touch of glamour to their performances with eye-catching outfits. The women exuded radiance in attire that reflected their boss-lady personalities, while the men donned dapper suits, creating a winning look.

However, drama ensued among Team Mavericks when Big Brother asked the victorious teams to select their winnings, which were ten non-transferrable gold tokens to be split among themselves. The six-member team faced difficulties in equally dividing their tokens. Venita suggested that Ilebaye should receive the least of the spoils, as she believed Ilebaye contributed the least to the team’s effort. Ilebaye objected, feeling that Venita’s comment was harsh and unjust. The rest of the team intervened, pressuring Ilebaye to relent and agree to Venita’s suggestion, much to her disappointment.
