Big Brother Naija is a Nigerian reality Television show, where housemates are voted, in which between 12 to 30 housemates live in an isolated house and compete for an ultimate price which is worth 100,000,000 (One Hundred million naira) equivalent to $138,888.89, and other material gifts such as cars and endorsement deals. Housemates are voted and those with the lowest votes are evicted from the show. The show is broadcasted on DSTV and GOTV on the Big Brother Naija channel.

• The season one of the show was won by Katung Aduwak and also featured Ebuka who is one of the most popular housemate and currently the host of the reality show.
• The second season of the Big Brother Nigeria (entitled Big Brother Naija) premiered 11 years after the first season which Efe Ejeba with the popular slogan “Based on Logistics” emerged winner in 2017.
• Miracle Igbokwe from Imo State emerged winner of the season 3 in 2018. While Mercy Eke (Lambo) emerged winner of the fourth edition (season 4) held in 2019.
• Laycon emerged winner of the season 5 edition of the Big Brother Naija Lock Down edition held between July and October 2020. He was rewarded with prizes worth 80 million naira.
• The season 6 edition which was tagged “Lock Down” was won by Whitemoney and he received a grand prize of 90 million naira. The grand finale of the season 6 edition was held on October, 3rd 2021. The finalist include Liquorose, Pere, Cross, angel and Emmanuel.
• Phyna emerged winner of the season 7 edition of the Big Brother Naija Level up edition held between July and October 2022. She was rewarded with prizes worth 100 million naira.
• Ilebaye won the All Stars edition of the Big Brother Naija held between July and October 2023. She was rewarded with prizes worth 120 million naira.
• Kellyrae won the No Loose Guard edition of the Big Brother Naija held between July and October 2024. He was rewarded with prizes worth 100 million naira.

BBNaija 2026 Registration Guideline

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

Please note that audition slots will be limited in order to process as many applicants as possible at the audition venue. Only registered and booked applicants will be accepted at the audition venue. Failure to comply with the rules will lead to automatic disqualification and no further correspondence will be entered into. Unruly and disruptive behaviour will lead to disqualification.

Multiple profiles on the audition platform may lead to an automatic disqualification. Once you receive a confirmation upon your first application, do not register again.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• You must be at least 21 years of age by 1st May of 2026.
• You must be a Nigerian citizen.
• If you are selected by the Producers for an interview, you must be willing to travel to Lagos in accordance with the stipulated timelines as scheduled by the Producers in their sole discretion for the final selection process.
• If selected you must be willing to live in the Big Brother Naija house located in Lagos with strangers where you will have little or no privacy. If you are chosen to live in the house, it is your responsibility to make any necessary arrangements with your employer and family in anticipation of your extended absence.
• The house is extensively outfitted with video and audio recording devices which will record, broadcast and exhibit your actions and voice at all times, twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week in every room and space in the house for the duration of your participation in the contest. You will be observed at all times by the Producers as well as the general public watching on television, the Internet, mobile devices and any and all other media.
• At least one participant will be eligible to receive the grand prize (subject to change at the Producers’ and/or the Broadcaster’s discretion).
• If you are selected to be interviewed, you may be given and must complete and return (prior to the date of your personal interview in Lagos), any further application materials (including but not limited to additional psychological and health questionnaires), or documents (such as your birth certificate, passport, and/or other identification) as well as a Medical History form.
• If selected you may be required to sign “Agreement & Release”, Confidentiality Agreement (including those for your immediate family members), caretaker agreement; undergo psychological and medical assessments (including blood and urine tests and other additional information as required by the Producers. You must also submit to physical and psychological examinations by the Producers’ selected medical professional(s) and meet all physical and psychological requirements.
• By applying for participation in Big Brother Naija, you authorise the Producers to conduct civil, criminal, and any other type of background checks deemed necessary by the Producers.
• Employees, officers, directors and agents of the Broadcaster, Producers and any sponsor of the Show or a contest or prize related thereto, and/or any of their respective licensees, assigns, parents, affiliated and subsidiary companies and the immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, regardless of where they live) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees, officers, directors and agents are not eligible to be participants on Big Brother Naija or participate in the application process.
• By your participation, you accept to share your personal information for the purpose of the Big Brother Show.
• Big Brother reserves the right to change the terms of the application and the production schedule at any time. Big Brother reserves the right to change the eligibility requirements and any other application rules in their sole discretion at any time with or without notice on a specific, case-by-case basis or across the entire applicant pool.
