Doyin Esmeralda, a housemate from Big Brother Naija All Stars and former housemate of the Level Up season, has publicly opened up about the reasons behind her decision to end her romantic relationship with fellow reality star Chizzy. The two initially developed a captivating bond during the 2022 Season 7 ‘Level Up’ edition of Big Brother Naija, igniting the house with their intense connection.

After the show concluded, Doyin candidly shared her thoughts on the potential of pursuing a romantic relationship with Chizzy during a post-show interview in 2022. However, in a recent conversation with her current housemates, Cross and Ilebaye, on the ongoing BBNaija All-Stars broadcast, Doyin revealed that she and Chizzy had differences in how they approached and handled various issues.

During this revealing discussion, Doyin disclosed that her preference in men leans towards those who emanate subtlety and calmness, expressing her reservations about Chizzy’s exuberant and loud demeanor, which didn’t align with her personal taste. She found his boisterousness to be overwhelming and not in line with what she looks for in a partner.

Doyin emphasized that while Chizzy had strong feelings for her, the divergence in their desired personalities and qualities caused their relationship to be unsustainable. She recognized that she wanted Chizzy to undergo a transformation and adopt a different persona, which he rightly recognized as something he couldn’t comply with. This disparity in their fundamental desires from each other ultimately became the driving force behind their breakup.

“I prefer my men to have a sense of subtlety; he was too loud. I’m drawn to an air of mystery. His demeanor was just too much for me to handle. So, despite his genuine affection for me, the compatibility wasn’t there because I was hoping for him to undergo a fundamental change, and he acknowledged the impracticality of that.”
