The reasons behind the house’s wager resistance became clearer during a string of candid diary sessions. Oyin told Biggie she believes Abi, Bluethopia, and Temi Nkem have been coming for her, specifically pointing to Abi’s lack of support during her wager the previous week as motivation to pay her back now that the tables have turned. She admitted that even before Tram became HoH, she had already decided not to participate as a form of revenge, making things difficult on purpose.
Bells offered a similar admission from a different angle. She explained that she had genuinely been excited about the circus theme when the brief first arrived and wanted to start assigning roles immediately, only to find Flora, Oyin, and Tram uninterested, a response that ultimately drained her own enthusiasm for the task. She placed the blame squarely on Oyin and Flora, saying their lack of engagement was making an already difficult week harder.
Biggie stepped in during Oyin’s session to offer some perspective, advising her that winning as a team would ultimately serve her better than chasing revenge. Whether that advice lands remains to be seen, but with multiple housemates openly admitting to strategic disengagement, the wager’s success looked far from guaranteed heading into presentation night.
