The Big Brother Naija grand finale show started at 7PM (WAT).

Big Brother Naija Housemate Olamilekan Agbeleshe popularly called “Laycon” has emerged winner of the Big Brother Naija lockdown season 5 show. Laycon emerged winner after getting the highest number of votes decided by fans of the show and Nigerians at large. He defeated Dorathy, Nengi, Neo and Vee to claim the the 85 million worth of prizes.

BBNaija Week 9 Sunday Live Eviction Show (September 20)

As the last eviction for this season, Big Brother introduced a new twist in this week’s eviction show. Only Nengi has booked a place in this year’s finale by virtue of her emerging winner in the Head of House game this week. The fate of the remaining six housemates will be determined during the live show.

The Big Brother Naija Season 5 Voting results for today week 9 for housemates nominated for possible eviction from the Big Brother Naija House. A total of four (4) housemates were nominated for eviction this week.

On Monday this week, all housemates except Nengi who won the Head of House game were divided into 2 teams and were asked to nominate two housemates from the opposing team. Team white placed Dorathy and Ozo on eviction while Team black nominated Laycon and Trikytee for eviction.

From the result of votes, Trikytee and Ozo got the least number of votes from the viewers this week.

In his interview Trickytee told Ebuka that the Housemates kept saving him because he was himself, saying that it was not deliberate that he was close to certain people in the House.

He did admit to having a soft spot for Wathoni and Dorathy. Trikytee plans to stay on his journey as a filmmaker and to make more music in the near future.

Ozo

Ozo explained that he got close to Nengi around the time of his birthday when they resolved their differences. He was very passionate about his plans for the future telling Ebuka that he was going to pursue sports development.

He felt that through sports development more jobs would be created. Before he left, Ozo extended the Vote of thanks he wanted to give as his winning speech, thanking his dad, mom, sisters and the organizers for all their support.

Housemates Nominated for Eviction in Week 9

As Nengi emerged winner of the Head of House game for this week and gained immunity from eviction, Big Brother introduced a new nomination process for housemates that will be up for eviction this week. Housemates where divided into two teams randomly (Team Black and Team White).

Trikytee Wins Head of House Game for Week 8

This week Head of House began with Biggie giving guidelines for the challenge and gave all housemates two minutes to complete the task. The housemates who completes the task with the least number of times will be declared winner of the challenge. The winner and the Deputy will be immune to possible eviction this week and will have access to the Big Brother luxury lounge.

Kiddwaya is not eligible to participate in the game today and cannot be nominated as a deputy as his punishment for breaking house rules ends today.

Today’s challenge started with Laycon leading the housemates but he got too much obstacles on his way and could only end at step 16 before he was buzzed out. Dorathy went all out and completed the task in a record time of 1 minute 14 seconds. No housemate has ever completed the task in such a record time since edition started.

Neo Issued a Final Strong Warning

Big Brother found Neo guilty of obstructing and restraining fellow housemate (Vee) during a heated disagreement clearly depriving the housemate of freedom within Big Brother house which is against the house rule. He was issued a strong and a final warning.

Erica Disqualified From BBNaija Season 5 Show

Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica who is the current serving Head of House has once again placed herself at a point of possible disqualification after she confronted Laycon over the kissing saga Ebuka exposed during last Sunday eviction Show.

In her confrontation, she threatened to cause ham and Kill Laycon outside the Big Brother house which against the rules guiding the Big Brother Naija house. One of the rule states that housemates should never intimidate, threaten or act violently towards any other housemate.

Erica is currently on two strikes and received her strong final warning last Sunday which means one more strike will see her immediately disqualified.

Big Brother gathered the housemates fee minutes before the eviction show and called out Erica for breaking several house rules. The offenses include;

1. Pouring of water on the Head of House Bed; defacing Biggie’s property and making it inaccessible to other housemates.
2. Assault of other housemate that can lead to physical altercation. Article 18 paragraph 1 described violence, bulling, golden and victimization of fellow housemate
3. Peeping on camera/production team
4. Denying the Deputy Head of House (Prince) access to his Big Brother privileges which include sleeping in the Head of House lounge

She was issued a final strike for her offences. With this 3rd strike, Erica have been disqualified from the Big Brother Naija reality Show.

Erica Wins Head of House for Week 7 (August 31)

The head of house challenge for this week started with Biggie giving the rules of the game. Ozo who is the head of House winner last week is not qualified to participate in today’s challenge neither will he be nominated as deputy Head of House. Kiddwaya who started serving his punishment for the strike issued by Biggie did not participate in the challenge as his punishment begins from today.

Erica on the other hand has finished serving her punishment for the strike she received from Biggie when she broke the Head of House lounge rules and resumed her participation in the Head of House challenge today.

Housemate were given 2 minutes each to complete the 30 steps challenge. Big Brother upgraded the challenge by adding more obstacles to the game which housemates must overcome to progress through the game. As you may have known, the winner of the challenge will be immune from eviction this week and will be given the privilege to pick a deputy to occupy the head of house lounge. They will also nominate a guest each to visit them in the head of house lounge.

Nengi started challenge but there were too many obstacles on her way that she could not make it past step 10 before she was buzzed out.

Laycon was close to victory but his effort could not earn him one. At the end of the challenge, Erica’ s step 29 was good enough to earn her the victory. She emerged winner of this week Head of House challenge and have therefore gained immunity from eviction for the week.

Erica picked Prince as her Deputy Head of House. By virtue of his post, he has gained immunity from eviction and have exclusive access to the Big Brother luxury lounge.

Erica picked Kiddwaya as her head of house guest but Big Brother told her Kidd is banned from enjoying Big Brother lounge. She however picked Trikytee while Prince Picked Dorathy as his guest.

To Erica and Kiddway, Biggie said “your actions have no other words to describe them but blatant disrespect to Big Brother and the viewers. Your flipping of fingers to the camera did not go unnoticed. The first incident occurred on the same day you were both issued a strike for disrespecting the Head of House rule.” Biggie added that he decided to be lenient on them because they were issued a strike for that offence already.

Erica was then issued a strong and final warning while Kiddwaya was issued a strike, meaning that one more strike will result in immediate disqualification from the Big Brother house.

Ozo Wins Monday Head of House Challenge; Picks Nengi as Deputy (August 24)

Erica and Tolanibaj was barred from participating in today’s Head of House challenge as the punishment for breaking multiple house rules. Kiddwaya on the other hand is not eligible to participate being the incumbent Head of House

Prince was the first housemate to begin today’s head of house challenge. He got six in his second attempt of rolling the dice which gave him the needed morale to continue the game. Prince have previously been unlucky with Erica and Lucy stealing his victory in week 4 and week 2 respectively. During today’s challenge, Prince was close to victory but made a mistake after completing the 30 steps which was corrected by Big Brother and he had to restart the game from step 16 which he did but could not get past step 22 before he ran out of time.

It was a hard game for Laycon as he kept falling on the wrong steps with too many obstacles which took much of his time before he was buzzed out. Trikytee made it to step 25 before he exhausted his time but was not enough to win the game this week.

Nengi made it to step 29 before she ran out of time. Ozo stole the victory from Nengi after he completed the 30 steps in a record time which was enough to win the head of House challenge this week.

Monday Head of House Games (August 17)

Before the game began, Big Brother added more privileges to the winner of the game. The winner of today’s show will have exclusive access to the Big Brother lounge, will also nominate a deputy and both will be immune to eviction this week. Lastly, the Head of House will have the privilege to invite one guest into the lounge. Big Brother also added special treats to the lounge which the winner of today’s show will enjoy. The invited guest will not be allowed to spend the night in the lounge.

Erica who’s Head of House reign ends today will not be allowed to participate in today’s game and she cannot be nominated as deputy.

The housemates are required to complete the 30 steps game within 1 minute, 30 sec. Laycon started the game but could not mate it past stage 4. Trikytee and Ozo got on the wrong step (Step 14) which require them to quit and try again next week. Kiddwaya emerged winner after he got to step 25 before he was buzzed out of the game. This victory makes him immune from nomination for the second week in a role. Here is the result of the game showing housemates and the stages they completed before they ran out of time.

Kiddwaya nominated Tolanibaj as his deputy head of house. He nominated Nengi as his second choice while Vee is his third House of House.

Big Brother disclosed that he will be on leave for few days and require the head of house to manage the affairs of then house. Kiddwaya was told to keep the secret from rest of the housemates and if he is able to do so, he will be given a gift.

The week 4 eviction show started with the presenter Ebuka calling out the names of the four housemates with the least number of votes from viewers this week. All other housemates will now vote at least two(2) of the four housemates which they want to evict from the show.  At least one of the four(4) housemates will be evicted from the show tonight depending on the voting from the remaining 14 housemates.

The Head of House for this week is Erica while her deputy is Kiddwaya. If there is a tie in the number of votes, Erica will have to decide who should be evicted.

Head of House Game for Week 4 (August 10)

It was another challenging contest among the Big Brother Naija Housemates as they fight for the Head of House position to gain immunity from possible eviction this week.

There was a little adjustment in the challenge tonight. The housemates were given just a Minute and 10 seconds to complete the challenge unlike the usual 2 minutes.

Today’s challenge started with Tolanibaj taking the challenge but could not make it past stage 16.

Laycon, Prince and Lucy were the only housemates who were closed to winning the challenge. Prince was just a step away from winning the challenge with Erica being the only housemate yet to take the challenge.

Erica took the challenge but was a bit distracted by other housemate while trying to move through the steps. It was a confusing scene which led Big Brother to interfere and assisted Erica in calculating the steps which eventually led her to winning the challenge.

At the End of the Game, Big Brother declared Erica as the winner of the contest for week 4. With this victory, she is now immune to eviction this week and she now have exclusive access to the Big Brother lounge.

Erica is required to choose a deputy head of house from the opposite gender. She nominated Kiddwaya as her deputy head of house which means she will have to share the BBNaija lounge with him for the week. She picked Laycon as her second option while praise as her third.

Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) Season 5 Week 3 Sunday Live Eviction Show (August 9, 2020)

The Eviction format was identical to last week as audience Votes were tallied from Monday to Thursday and the four Housemates with least Votes all stand for eviction. After the introduction was completed Ebuka crossed into Biggie’s House to catch up with the Housemates.

Ozo shared that his birthday celebrations were great even though he got into a fight this week. Dorathy let it be known that she has never told anyone that she is attracted to Ozo. Brighto disputed this and said that Dorathy was obviously into Ozo, but Ozo’s preference leans towards Nengi. Nengi shared with Ebuka that as far as the triangle was concerned, she was not leading Ozo on, and said they are only good friends.

The week 3 eviction show started with the presenter Ebuka calling out the names of the four housemates with the least number of votes from viewers this week. Week 3 Nomination and Monday Head of House Challenge(August 3, 2020)

On Monday, all BBNaija housemates participated in the Head of House challenge to fight for immunity to possible eviction. Ozo emerged as winner after becoming the first housemate to successfully complete the Head of House challenge game there making him the first male housemate to win the challenge in this lock down edition.

With his victory, he is now immune to eviction and he is safe from possible eviction this week. He picked Dorathy as his deputy Head of House which make her to be immune from eviction.

During last week Sunday live show, Ebuka declared that the Head of House and the deputy will be immune to eviction. This means that Lucy who won the Head of House challenge on Monday and her deputy Head of House (Prince) are safe from eviction this week. Big Brother also make corrections to the choosing of house deputy and declared that the winner of the Head of House challenge will only pick a deputy from the opposite sex. It is worthy to note that Nengi picked Wathoni as her deputy when she won the Head of House challenge. This will no longer be allowed as the winner must now pick from the opposite sex.

The First Nomination of the Big Brother Naija Nomination started today Sunday July 26, 2020. One of the benefits of the winner of the Head of House challenge is being immune to possible eviction. This means that she (Lucy) will not be nominated for eviction this week.

Sunday Live Show (Week 1)

Some of the new things Biggie has introduced include putting all the BBNaija Lockdown Housemates for Eviction except for the Head of House and Deputy Head of House as well as increased Voting power for those who are premium subscribers.

The second Live Show of Big Brother Naija season 5 brought with it twists that will no doubt impact the dynamics of the show.

Ebuka announced a new twist in the Monday Head of House games brought about by Biggie in this Lockdown season. All Housemates, except Head of House and Deputy Head of House, will be up for Nomination and therefore possible Eviction each week.  This is to say Lucy and Prince are immune to eviction since they are the Head of House and deputy this week.

There will also be a Live Eviction by Housemates every Sunday in the coming weeks of the show. Housemates will each take turns to Nominate one of the bottom four Housemates with the lowest votes in the Diary Room. The Housemate who has the most Nominations will then be the one who gets Evicted. For the very first in the show, Housemates will be the ones that choose who goes home!
