Best Audition Videos from Nigeria Idol Season 7 (2022)

The seventh season of Nigerian Idol debuted on DStv and GOtv on Sunday night, and there were a lot of great auditions. Itohan, a 17-year-old student, was one of the night’s brightest lights. With her rendition of Andra Day’s “Rise Up,” the girl stunned the judges. She played the song on the piano and received a Golden Ticket for her efforts.

As usual, there were some incredible performances as well as some amusing ones that left Judges D’banj, Simi, and Obi Asika perplexed. Even if they received a ‘No,’ the Judges provided some competitors positive suggestions and compliments, which was fascinating to witness.

Other contestants who received Golden Tickets and had outstanding performances were Abigail, Gerald, Faith, Enato, Azuka, Jitey, and Chris.

While Abigail and Itohan melted hearts, Paul and Onyedikachi had everyone rolling on the floor, especially Onyedikachi, whose rendition of Whitney Houston’s, ‘I Will Always Love You’ proved memorable, but not for the best reasons.

The episode ended with Obi Asika as the tiebreaker to what seemed to be a ‘Yes’ from D’banj and a ‘No’ from Simi for Hesed, a 24-year-old voice-over artist, who got her heart broken by her boyfriend right before her Audition.
