Liuorose, Yousef, Maria & Sammie Wins BBNaija 2021 Fiday Abeg Task (Week 5)

The BBNaija Housemates met in the Arena once more for another night of challenges with Abeg.

Nini was pondering how to keep the ball from escaping. That’s when we realized this Task was going to be fun.

The Abeg Task was a football-themed game. Biggie wants the Housemates to have a good time. Biggie vowed at the end of the Task that there would be no losers, only winners, and potentially even bigger winners.

JMK, Emmanuel, and Tega were not allowed to participate in the games due to injuries received during prior Tasks.

Biggie divided the Housemates into four teams, each with two ladies and two gentlemen. The game’s referee would be the additional male Housemate who didn’t fit into either of the teams. This was Whitemoney, as it turned out.

They were given two boxes containing cards with team names on them. They adopted a fortunate dip system in which the males chose cards from one box while the girls chose from the other. The referee card was chosen by Whitemoney, who also served as Biggie’s assistant for the game.

Each member of the winning team received 500 Abeg Naira as the Ultimate Reward. The second and third place finishers will each receive a consolation reward of 250 Abeg Naira. If Big Brother is pleased with the officiating, the referee will receive 250 Abeg Naira.

The Dribble Challenge

Housemates were supposed to dribble the ball as quickly as possible through and around the cones to the indicated box. The ball had to be returned to the starting place and the challenge had to be repeated if a cone dropped.

The Double Putt

A simplified version of challenge 3 was the double putt. Housemates had to simply roll the ball from anywhere in the box to the purple board’s center hole using their foot. All that was required was for them to effectively kick or roll the ball into one of the single holes with their foot.

The Single Putt

Football requires a lot of tactics, and this challenge gave them the chance to show off their tactical knowledge. There was just one hole in which to putt the ball, and it may go wherever it pleased as long as it did not cross the marked line. They were not permitted to roll or kick the ball anywhere else than the designated area.

Back Heel Goal

This is a very popular football challenge. They had to score a goal by striking the ball with the backs of their heels. The ball had to be placed on the arrow that had been designated. A single goal was all that was required. Each team was supposed to nominate a representative for each task, and once the game began, teams were not allowed to change their representation.

The Games

Team One had to play Team Three, while Team Two had to play Team Four. They’d play it like a relay race. The clock would end once the final team member had rung the bell. At any given moment, only one player was allowed on the court. The round would be won by the team with the fastest time.

Cross kicked off Team One, followed by Pere, who struggled with the second challenge at first until scoring on the third try. Angel found the third game to be really difficult. Who’d have guessed that such a simple game could be so difficult? Queen sped to the final challenge after finally getting the ball in the circle, demonstrating her fierce competitiveness.

Jaypaul led Team Three, followed by Saskay and Nini, who, like Jaypaul, had the most visually irritating Challenge 3 experience. Nini appeared dejected at first, but she eventually finished, and Michael ended their round. When Biggie asked how they felt about their performance, they said, “Very poor, Big Brother.”

Yousef kicked off team two, dribbling his way through the cones like an expert. He was followed by Liquorose, who scored the second try, and Sammie, who completed the third game in one go. Maria finished with the back heel, and the Challenges were accomplished without a hitch.

Boma, like Didier Drogba, got through with the dribble, and Saga had a clean kick in one go for Team Four. During the third challenge, Jackie B had some issues with too much kicking strength, causing the ball to land in the hole. Peace scored the game’s final goal, bringing the first round to a close.

The Winner

Because Queen did not wait for Angel to return during their relay, Team One’s time was increased by five seconds. Regardless, they advanced to the last round. Team two also advanced to the final round. The two teams had to compete against one another on the same football field. Biggie requested that Squad 2 join the Nigerian national team after they won.
